Dean Macpherson responds to Paul Mashatile's call for his resignation
Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, Dean Macpherson, has responded to ANC Deputy President Paul Mashatile's remarks suggesting that those unwilling to implement the Land Expropriation Act should resign.
Macpherson firmly rejected Mashatile’s statement, saying, “There’s only one person who will tell me to resign from government, and that is the leader of the DA. No other leader or member of another political party will tell me when or how I should resign.”
He further criticized Mashatile’s remarks, calling them “unhelpful arrogance” that creates unnecessary tensions within the Government of National Unity (GNU). *“We are all here to do a to do a job,” Macpherson added, emphasizing the need for cooperation among coalition partners.
