If the living could look into the land of the dead, it would not be surprising to discover that the late Senzo is not in the grave where his killers forced him early in life. The court's handling of his case may have roused him from his incarceration.
Apparently, the bustle of courtroom activity in Pretoria, particularly in recent weeks, created the impression that the family of late Senzo Meyiwa would finally receive justice and their son could rest in peace. But no! The gavel has yet to rest.
It has been one hundred and twenty months since Senzo, shot stopper and captain of the Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates football teams, was assassinated. Some suspects have been identified and are currently on trial, but not a person has been convicted of this high-profile murder since it occurred in October 2014.
