Malema signals EFF’s readiness to govern with ANC if GNU collapses
Julius Malema, leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), has expressed the party’s readiness to co-govern with the African National Congress (ANC) if the current Government of National Unity (GNU) involving the Democratic Alliance (DA) collapses.
Speaking at the EFF’s third National People’s Assembly, Malema criticized the ANC-DA partnership, describing it as unstable and likely to fail, which could open the door for the EFF to play a central role in governance.
He firmly rejected the idea of any coalition being conditional on the involvement of the MKP, stating, “We are not going into a coalition with the ANC on condition that there’s MKP; we are not interested in that.”
