Sibusiso Mahlangu and his wife, Lerato, have been found guilty of murdering Sibusiso Sithebe in Soshanguve, Tshwane, on 2 January 2022.
The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria accepted the State's version that the murder was part of a plot to fake Mahlangu's death to claim an insurance policy payout.
The Mahlangu's had pleaded not guilty and said they did not know how the deceased landed up dead, in their house, on their bed.
