Mpumi Mtsweni to bless Mzansi with her eargasmic sounds of gospel. The award winning singer and songwriter Nompumelelo Portia Tshabalala, affectionately known as Mpumi Mtsweni cannot wait for the day of praise and worship where she'll recording live. She said her satisfaction will come from seeing people having faith and hope in God again. "I want to hear someone tell me that they went back to church because they were moved by the holy spirit through my music. I want to bring back hope in people's lives," said Mpumi.
Born in Mpumalanga, South Africa, Mpumi is a passionate worshiper, song writer, award winning musician and child of God who wants to touch people's hearts through her gospel. Her music career started at an early age. At the age 18, she was part of a gospel sensational group called Gospel Extravaganza. She's part of the biggest South African collaboration, spirit of praise and it has been an amazing journey.
Mpumi studied her higher education and graduated as an electrical engineer. She's a firm believer in education and of using God's given talents. Her musical career has caused her to travel all over South Africa and the neighboring countries, like Botswana and Swaziland.
In 2018, she won and award for Best Live recording at Ingoma awards. She's also worked with artists like Bishop Benjamin Dube, Lebo Sekgobela, Obrey M, Takie Ndou, Mmatema and so many more.She has released two successful albums and plans to release more, all in God's time.
She has a contagious worship spirit that fills the atmosphere when she worships and she'll be channeling all that into her live recording happening on the 21st of September 2024 at Goshen City Church in Auckland Park.
